This article is about Grump Punks, a quirky NFT collection on the Opensea marketplace. Grump Punks is created by Shishi and Trallalla, she has supported us by buying our NFTs. In return we are supporting her by telling the world the story behind her awesome Grump Punk collections.
Origin of Grump Punks
It was the year 2018 and the creator was fed up with life, she suddenly become a victim of bullying at work. This was a real shock as she had been at the company for approximately 14 years. A job she once enjoyed was now a living nightmare, so much that she considered leaving the company! Lucky enough, the bully quit first.
Then lockdown arrived, which forced the her to be at home for 6 months and reflect on life. Her daughter often talked about Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), and she soon become fascinated with this subject. The creators daughter is her biggest supporter and critic. To her surprise she really enjoyed expressing her past frustrations via digital art, It’s almost like a form of meditation. Sometimes she even makes money by selling his unique art creations on the NFT marketplace. After many designs the Grump Punks NFT collection was then born! She currently has 3 separate collections, each having a Grump Punk theme. Grump Punks is the original collection created on the Ethereum blockchain. Then Grump Punks 2 was created on the Polygon network. Her latest work (Grump Punks 3) is on both Ethereum and Polygon networks. The creator does this for fun, and has also made many friends in the NFT space chatting with likeminded creators.
Design Concept of the Original Grump Punks
The original Grump Punks is a 3D representation of the creators boss, who made life very difficult for her at work. This collection consists of 100 handmade, unique, minimalistic NFT Grumps on the Ethereum network. There are 10 basic Grump Punk images, each with a basic face and background. The 10 basic images repeat throughout the collection, but have different minor traits. Each theme is numbered rather than titled. The supply is 1 of each, no duplicates. The Grump Punks are pleased to be part of the NFT community and whether we like it or not, they are here to stay!

A follow on from the previous Grump Punks original collection. This time on the Polygon network. Instead using 10 base images, this collection uses 5 base images.

This is the latest Grump Punk collection from creator Shishi and Trallala. Each image in this collection is hand drawn, and has more of a freestyle approach.
